History of formation, development progress

Region V Pharmacy School was established in 1963 in Phuong Dong commune, Tra My district, Quang Nam province according to the Decision of Military and Civilian Medical Officer School to create a source of Pharmacy staff to serve the needs of the resistance war. The school has trained 03 primary pharmacist courses and 04 assistant pharmacist courses. After April 1975, the training mission of the Pharmacy School was transferred to the Central Medical School, renamed Da Nang High School Central Medical Technical School II in Da Nang in 1993..
Since 2013, Da Nang University of Da Nang University of Medical Technology and Pharmacy has officially been upgraded from Da Nang High School Central Medical Technical School II in Da Nang. The Faculty of Pharmacy was upgraded from the Department of Pharmacy according to Decision No. 150/QD-DHKTYDDN dated March 11, 2014 of the Dean of Da Nang University of Medical Technology and Pharmacy. 
The Faculty of Pharmacy is one of the first Faculties of the University. After 10 years of training Pharmacists, the Faculty of Pharmacy has continuously built and improved training programs to improve the quality of teaching and learning. At the same time, the Faculty also continuously increases the number of annual enrollments to meet the people's health care requirements as well as effectively contribute to the cause of healthcare and to improving Vietnamese medicine and pharmacy.
