History

In 1982, School of Intermediate Medical Technical No II established the Department of Dentistry to train school dental nurse staff to provide primary dental health care to pupils in the Central region. Along with economic and social development, in order to response to the needs of dental care and disease prevention in the community, the Department of Dentistry was upgraded to the Faculty of Dentistry when the Prime Minister decided to establish the Da Nang University of Medical Technology and Pharmacy in 2013. Over more than 30 years, the Faculty of Dentistry has continuously strived to build, develop, and contribute to the training of medical human resources in the field of oral health.

Since the school year 2015, the Faculty of Dentistry has begun teaching the full-time 4-year Bachelor of Dental Nursing program. Every year, the Faculty of Dentistry trains 40 - 60 Dental Nurse students who are progress both medical ethnics and professional competence in meeting the needs of society in caring for people's health.

After graduation, Dental Nursing students will be able to work at state and private hospitals, dental clinics, community oral health care clinics, health organizations, and network of schooling dental program. In addition, students also have the ability to continue studying at postgraduate levels and participate in scientific research.
