The predecessor of the Faculty of Nursing was the Clinical Department established on March 26, 1963, which was also the founding day of the Military and Civilian Medical Officer School (predecessor of DUMTP). In October 1977, the first course of Vocational Nursing began training at the Department.
In 1978, the Department of Hospital Practice was established, separated from the Clinical Department.
In January 1997, the Department of Hospital Practice was renamed to the Department of Nursing.
Through the process of construction and development, on April 15, 2013, the Department of Nursing was upgraded to the Faculty of Nursing when Da Nang University of Medical and Pharmaceutical Technology was established on the basis of upgrading the College of Medical Techniques II- Ministry of Health.
