On the morning of March 11, 2025, at Da Nang University of Medical Technology and Pharmacy, the Da Nang Youth Union, in collaboration with the Hoang Sa Display House, Naval Region 3, and the University Youth Union, organized the opening ceremony of a documentary, photo, and thematic report exhibition with the theme "Youth with the Homeland's Seas and Islands."
The event was attended by Comrade Nguyen Ba Duan, Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang Youth Union; leaders of Naval Region 3, the Hoang Sa Display House, and representatives of the University's Board of Directors, including: Dr. Le Van Nho, Secretary of the Party Committee; Dr. Le Thi Thuy, Rector; Dr. Nguyen Minh Son, Vice Rector; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Khac Minh, former Secretary of the Party Committee, former Rector; Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Minh, Head of the Department of Political and Student Management; and comrades from the Standing Committee of the University Youth Union. The event also attracted the participation of a large number of lecturers, staff, union members, and more than 200 students.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Comrade Nguyen Ba Duan emphasized the important role of the young generation in the work of protecting and preserving sovereignty over seas and islands. At the same time, he affirmed that educating awareness and raising a sense of responsibility for territorial sovereignty is a key factor in the task of protecting the Fatherland.

Immediately after the opening ceremony, delegates and students visited the exhibition, learning about valuable documents and images about the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos and Vietnam's sovereignty over seas and islands. Following that, the students listened to a thematic report presented by Major Tran Van Thong, Deputy Political Officer of Naval Flotilla 314, Brigade 161, Naval Region 3. The report focused on analyzing the situation in the East Sea recently, while clarifying the views and policies of the Party and State in protecting sovereignty over seas and islands, as well as solutions to resolve disputes at sea.

The exhibition not only contributes to raising awareness of sea and island sovereignty, but also arouses the spirit of patriotism and responsibility of union members and youth in the cause of building and protecting the Fatherland. The program will continue with many meaningful activities, spreading the message of love for the homeland, seas and islands to the young generation.
