On the morning of April 2, 2024, the Faculty of Public Health welcomed and held a working session with a delegation from the Faculty of Public Health, Mahidol University, Thailand, to discuss matters related to education, scientific research, and future exchange of faculty and students.
Participants in the session included Associate Professor Dr. Phitaya Charupoonphol and MSc. Hoàng Nguyễn Nhật Linh, representing the two institutions, along with lecturers from both Mahidol University’s Faculty of Public Health and the Faculty of Public Health of Danang University of Medical Technology and Pharmacy.
During the meeting, both parties shared experiences in undergraduate and postgraduate education, scientific research, international collaboration, and faculty/student exchange programs.
At the conclusion of the session, the Mahidol University delegation expressed a strong interest in continuing collaboration on upcoming projects and expanding opportunities for international master's and doctoral training programs in public health. These programs would cover various specialties such as Epidemiology, Global Health, Behavioral Science, Health Education and Promotion. Of particular interest was the doctoral program in Public Health with a focus on Family and Reproductive Health.
The two institutions also discussed the potential for both short-term and long-term faculty and student exchange programs.
