On the morning of July 22, 2025, Da Nang University of Medical Technology and Pharmacy held the opening ceremony for the external assessment of two bachelor’s degree programs: Nursing and Public Health under the standards of the ASEAN University Network – Quality Assurance (AUN-QA).
The ceremony was attended by the AUN-QA expert panel, including: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Attachai Ueranantasun Chief Assessor and Lead Assessor for the Public Health program; Prof. Dr. Shahrir Abdullah – Lead Assessor for the Nursing program; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Anne Lan K. Candelaria and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lucila R. Calairo – Program Assessors; and Ms. Supanan Suanploo - Secretariat.
Representing the university were Dr. Le Van Nho – Chairman of the University Council; Dr. Le Thi Thuy – Rector; Vice Rectors; heads of faculties, departments, centers, and units; along with a large number of lecturers from the two faculties under assessment.

In her opening speech, Rector Dr. Le Thi Thuy emphasized: “Participating in the external assessment under AUN-QA standards is a strategic step to gradually enhance training quality, promote international integration, and better meet the healthcare needs of society.” She expressed her hope to receive objective and insightful recommendations from the experts to further improve and sustainably develop the two programs in line with regional standards.

On behalf of the AUN-QA delegation, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Attachai Ueranantasun delivered his opening remarks, expressing his impression of the university’s thorough and professional preparation and his confidence in effective cooperation throughout the assessment process.
Following the ceremony, the two sides exchanged commemorative gifts and took group photos in a warm and cooperative atmosphere.
