On the morning of March 3, 2025, at Facility 2 (Nam Ky Khoi Nghia Street, Hoa Quy Ward, Ngu Hanh Son District, Da Nang City), Da Nang University of Medical Technology and Pharmacy solemnly held the Groundbreaking Ceremony for the Investment Project to expand Facility 2. The ceremony was attended by Mr. Do Xuan Tuyen - Permanent Deputy Minister of Health; Mr. Nguyen Minh Loi - Director of the Department of Infrastructure and Medical Equipment; Mr. Duong Duc Thien - Deputy Director of the Planning and Finance Department; Mr. Nguyen Van Quan - Deputy Director of the Department of Science, Technology and Training - Ministry of Health, along with representatives of departments and agencies under the Ministry of Health. On the school side, there were Dr. Le Van Nho - Party Secretary, Chairman of the School Board; Dr. Le Thi Thuy - Deputy Party Secretary, School Principal; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Khac Minh - Former Party Secretary, Former School Principal; Dr. Dang Van Thoi - Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Vice Principal; Dr. Nguyen Minh Son - Party Committee Member, Vice Principal, along with representatives of leaders of faculties and departments of the school, contractors, design consultants and supervision consultants.

At the ceremony, Dr. Le Thi Thuy - Deputy Party Secretary, School Principal, gave the order to start the Project.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Do Xuan Tuyen - Permanent Deputy Minister of Health emphasized: "The school, the investor and related parties, design consultants, construction, supervision need to ensure the project is carried out with quality, on schedule and completed as planned to put it into use soon. At the same time, the construction unit needs to ensure security, occupational safety, fire and explosion prevention, and closely coordinate with local authorities during the construction process." The project to expand Facility 2 of Da Nang University of Medical Technology and Pharmacy includes a 6-storey practice center, lecture hall and scientific research building (phase 1). The project has a construction area of 1,464 m², a total floor area of 6,680 m².

The groundbreaking of the project not only marks an important development step of the school in improving the quality of medical human resource training but also contributes to meeting the learning and research needs of students, lecturers and medical staff in the future. With synchronous investment in infrastructure and modern equipment, Facility 2 promises to become an advanced medical training center, creating favorable conditions for students to study, practice and do scientific research.
