Da Nang, September 17, 2025 – Da Nang University of Medical Technology and Pharmacy (DUMTP) welcomed a delegation from Kaohsiung Medical University (KMU, Taiwan) for a working session aimed at promoting academic exchange and collaboration.
The KMU delegation included Prof. Guo Lan-Yuen, Dean of the College of Health Sciences; Assoc. Prof. Chuang I-Chun from the Department of Respiratory Therapy; Assoc. Prof. Lin Chia-Ju from the College of Nursing; Ms. Lin Hsiao-Ling, Project Assistant at the College of Health Sciences; and Ms. Nguyen Le Phuong Truc from Fooyin University.

Representing DUMTP were Dr. Nguyen Minh Son, Vice Rector; Dr. Cao Bich Thuy, Head of the Office of Science–Technology Management and International Cooperation; together with leaders of the Faculties of Medicine, Nursing, Rehabilitation, and Public Health.
During the meeting, the KMU delegation presented an overview of their university and outlined future directions in training and research. DUMTP also introduced its scale of training, key academic programs, and international cooperation strategies, with a focus on developing high-quality health professionals.

Both sides discussed potential areas of collaboration, including postgraduate training programs, faculty and student exchanges, academic resource sharing, clinical study tours combined with research, and joint international programs in related fields.
The session concluded in a spirit of openness and partnership, marking an important step in expanding DUMTP’s international network. In the coming period, the two universities plan to launch concrete activities and move towards signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to formalize cooperation.
