On the afternoon of August 22, Da Nang University of Medical Technology and Pharmacy welcomed a delegation from the Ministry of Health led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Tri Thuc, Deputy Minister of Health, for an official visit and working session.
The meeting was attended by leaders from various departments and agencies of the Ministry of Health, as well as representatives from Da Nang C Hospital and the Orthopedic and Rehabilitation Hospital. From the university, participants included Dr. Le Van Nho – Party Secretary and Chairman of the University Council; Dr. Le Thi Thuy – Rector; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Khac Minh – former Party Secretary and Rector; along with members of the Rectorate Board and leaders of affiliated units.

During the session, Rector Dr. Le Thi Thuy presented the university’s achievements over the first seven months of the year, outlined plans for the remaining five months of 2025, and shared long-term development orientations. She also raised key proposals to further enhance training quality, scientific research, and infrastructure investment, while updating the Ministry on the progress of ongoing university-led projects.
The Ministry’s delegation engaged in open discussions with the university, focusing on medical workforce training, research activities, and facilities to support teaching and clinical practice.
In his concluding remarks, Deputy Minister Nguyen Tri Thuc praised the university’s efforts in training high-quality healthcare professionals for the Central and Central Highlands regions as well as the nation at large. He urged the university to build on its strengths while strengthening collaboration with Ministry-affiliated units and local healthcare facilities to meet the growing demands for medical human resources in the new era.

The working session underscored the Ministry of Health’s commitment to supporting the development of Da Nang University of Medical Technology and Pharmacy, thereby contributing to the improvement of Vietnam’s healthcare workforce in service of public health.
