On the afternoon of December 26, 2025, Da Nang University of Medical Technology and Pharmacy (DUMTP) held a working session with a delegation from the Kaohsiung Medical University System (Taiwan) to exchange and discuss directions for cooperation in education, scientific research, and health workforce development.

Attending the meeting on behalf of the University were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Thi Thuy - Rector of the university, members of the Board of Rectors, and heads of faculties, departments, and affiliated units. The Kaohsiung Medical University System was represented by Mr. Chen Chien Zie - Chairman.

In her remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Thi Thuy warmly welcomed the delegation and reaffirmed the university’s strong commitment to enhancing international cooperation as a means to improve the quality of education and scientific research.

During the meeting, both sides introduced their respective education and research models as well as clinical practice systems, and focused discussions on potential areas of cooperation. Priority areas included short-term training programs for capacity building of faculty members, joint scientific research, student and postgraduate exchange programs, and the development of online academic activities.

The two sides also discussed the possibility of jointly implementing international cooperation projects and considered providing PhD training opportunities for faculty members from the Faculty of Medicine and the Health Sciences sector of the university.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties agreed to work toward the development of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and to identify priority activities for implementation during the 2026–2028 period, serving as a foundation for sustainable cooperation in the coming years.
