On December 23, 2025, Da Nang University of Medical Technology and Pharmacy (DUMTP) held a meeting and working session with a delegation from the Department of International Cooperation, Ministry of Health, to review and assess the results of international cooperation activities in 2025 and discuss orientations for the coming period.
The delegation from the Department of International Cooperation was led by Ms. Vu Lan Huong, Deputy Director General of the Department, with the participation of Ms. Pham Thi Chinh and Ms. Khanh Thi Loan, officers of the Department. Representing DUMTP at the meeting were Dr. Nguyen Minh Son, Vice President of the University, along with representatives from the Office of International Cooperation and the Office of Undergraduate Education.
During the meeting, the University presented an overview report on the status and outcomes of its international cooperation activities in 2025. Accordingly, the University proactively organized and effectively managed outbound and inbound delegations, international conferences and workshops, and negotiations and signing of memoranda of understanding with international partners. In 2025, the University approved 10 outbound delegations, of which 2 delegations were approved by the Ministry of Health.
Notably, the University is implementing several international cooperation projects with significant practical impact. Among them, the project supporting the improvement of quality of life for persons with disabilities in provinces heavily affected by Agent Orange successfully organized two training courses in 2025. The SCALE research project on the prevention of sexual violence among male university students completed its survey with a high participation rate and conducted professional workshops prior to intervention. In addition, the project on enhancing the University’s training capacity in health informatics has completed the grant proposal dossier and received approval from the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Finance of Vietnam, and is currently awaiting final appraisal results from the Korean side.
In her remarks, Ms. Vu Lan Huong, Deputy Director General of the Department of International Cooperation, acknowledged and highly appreciated the University’s efforts and achievements in proactively integrating into the international community, effectively implementing cooperation projects, and strictly complying with state regulations on foreign affairs management. The delegation also provided further guidance and exchanged views on issues related to management mechanisms, administrative procedures, criteria for identifying international conferences and workshops, and priority orientations for international cooperation in the coming period.
The meeting served as an important opportunity for the University to further refine its international cooperation activities, aiming to enhance human resource quality, expand international partnerships, and strengthen the position and capacity for international integration of Da Nang University of Medical Technology and Pharmacy in the fields of education, scientific research, and health digital transformation.
