In celebration of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (September 2nd), the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the People's Public Security Forces (August 19th, 1945–2025), and the 20th anniversary of the “All People Protect National Security” Festival (2005–2025), Da Nang University of Medical Technology and Pharmacy held the 2025 Festival for “All People Protect National Security” on the afternoon of June 9th.

This important political activity aimed to widely disseminate knowledge and raise awareness among staff, lecturers, and students about the importance of public responsibility and active participation in protecting national security and maintaining social order and safety.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Le Thi Thuy – Rector of the University – emphasized that in recent years, the Party Committee and the University’s Board of Rectors have paid great attention to and effectively implemented the guiding documents of government and local authorities concerning public security and order. The University’s Military Command has cooperated closely with the self-defense force and professional security team to develop plans to ensure public security during key periods such as the Lunar New Year, major national holidays, and important university events.

Furthermore, various unions and student associations have proactively organized meaningful activities to promote crime prevention, combat social evils, and raise cybersecurity awareness. Notably, during the first-year student orientation week, the University invited a speaker from the Da Nang City Police Department to deliver a special lecture on public security and launched several legal education contests for students, such as the “Golden Bell Challenge” on law and the communication campaign “Six Nos.” These initiatives have helped students recognize and proactively avoid online scams, particularly fraudulent schemes related to studying abroad or participating in international exchange programs.

As part of the program, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Hung Loi – Deputy Head of the Internal Political Security Division, Da Nang City Police Department – delivered a presentation titled “Identifying and Preventing Online Fraudulent Activities.” His report provided up-to-date information and in-depth analysis of increasingly sophisticated cybercrime methods, equipping university staff and students with the skills to identify and respond to digital threats effectively.

The event also featured a lively karaoke competition among university faculties/ departments, with performances praising the Communist Party of Vietnam, President Ho Chi Minh, and the homeland. This activity fostered a vibrant and meaningful atmosphere while promoting the spirit of the “All People Protect National Security” movement throughout the university community.
