Da Nang Department of Science and Technology Reviews City-Level Scientific Research Project by Da Nang University of Medical Technology and Pharmacy

On August 13, 2025, at the headquarters of the Da Nang Department of Science and Technology, the Acceptance Council conducted the final evaluation of the science and technology project titled “Survey on the Reproductive Health Needs of Postmenopausal Women in Da Nang City, Implementation and Initial Evaluation of Interventions to Improve Quality of Life.”

The project was led by Da Nang University of Medical Technology and Pharmacy, with Dr. Nguyen Dinh Phuong Thao – Dean of the Faculty of Medicine – serving as Principal Investigator. The Acceptance Council was chaired by Prof. Dr. Nguyen Vu Quoc Huy, together with members who are scientists and experts in the fields of healthcare and public health.

The project was rated Pass by the Council, scoring 88.6 out of 100. According to the final report, the research team conducted a large-scale survey to collect data on the reproductive health care needs of postmenopausal women in Da Nang. Based on this data, the team implemented several initial intervention measures and assessed their effectiveness, focusing on improving physical and mental health and raising awareness of reproductive health care among postmenopausal women.

The research results not only have scientific significance but also high practical value, serving as an important reference for health authorities, social organizations, and local governments in developing, adjusting, and implementing reproductive health care programs for postmenopausal women. In particular, the interventions proposed by the project have contributed to improving quality of life, promoting equality in access to healthcare services, and ensuring comprehensive health care for women.

The project is a clear example of the close link between scientific research and practical application, reaffirming the capability and reputation of Da Nang University of Medical Technology and Pharmacy in conducting research that serves public health and makes a practical contribution to the sustainable development of Da Nang City.
