On the morning of September 3, 2025, the Da Nang University of Medical Technology and Pharmacy welcomed a delegation of faculty and students from Chubu Gakuin University (Japan) for an academic and cultural exchange program with nursing students. The activity aimed to promote professional collaboration, deepen mutual understanding, and expand international cooperation between the two institutions.
The program was attended by Nguyen Minh Son, MD, PhD – Vice Rector; Cao Bich Thuy, MD, MSc – Deputy Head of the Office of Science, Technology Management and International Cooperation;. Luu Thi Thuy, PhD – Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, lecturers and students from the Faculty of Nursing. From Chubu Gakuin University, the delegation included Professor Iio Yoshihide, faculty members, and nursing students.
During the first working session, representatives from both universities exchanged greetings and expressed appreciation for the opportunity to collaborate. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to fostering academic exchange and cooperation in nursing education. Discussions centered on long-term directions for collaboration, including plans to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to formalize the partnership in the near future.
In addition to academic discussions, students from both universities took part in team-building games and cultural performances, creating a lively and engaging atmosphere. A highlight of the program was the sharing of student experiences: Vietnamese students introduced their training in theory and clinical practice, while Japanese students spoke about their study environment at Chubu Gakuin University. These exchanges provided a multi-dimensional perspective on educational practices and student life across the two countries.
The program concluded in a warm and friendly atmosphere, leaving a lasting impression on faculty and students alike. It is considered an important foundation for Da Nang University of Medical Technology and Pharmacy and Chubu Gakuin University to further expand cooperation in training, research, and student exchange in the future.
