Da Nang University of Medical Technology and Pharmacy and Deviemed Promote International Cooperation in the Field of Health

On March 7, 2025, Da Nang University of Medical Technology and Pharmacy (DUMTP) welcomed a delegation of experts from the Deviemed organization (Federal Republic of Germany) in the first meeting, opening up opportunities for bilateral cooperation in the field of health and training.

Strengthening professional connections and cooperation

Attending the meeting, on the side of DUMTP were Dr. Nguyen Minh Son, Vice Rector; Ms. Luong Thi Cam Van, in charge of the Department of Rehabilitation, along with representatives from the Department of Science - Technology Management & International Cooperation. In addition, lecturers, staff and students from the Department of Rehabilitation were also present to exchange and learn from experience.

Representing the Deviemed organization, Dr. Alexander Hemprich (Odonto – Stomatology specialist) and Dr. Ann Dieckman (Medical specialist) led the working delegation. This is the first time the two sides have met directly to lay the foundation for long-term cooperation activities.

Sharing expertise and cooperation orientation

At the meeting, Deviemed experts shared their experience in Speech Therapy for children with cleft lip and palate, a field that requires interdisciplinary work, cooperation and continuous updating. The two sides also discussed cooperation methods to improve the quality of training and applied research in this field.

DUMTP emphasized the importance of international cooperation in training health personnel, and committed to creating favorable conditions to implement practical cooperation programs between the two sides.

Heading Towards Specific Cooperation Projects

The meeting took place in an open and vibrant atmosphere, creating a premise for new steps forward in cooperation between DUMTP and Deviemed. The two sides agreed to continue exchanging and building specific cooperation programs in the near future, towards the goal of improving the quality of medical education and health care services in Vietnam.
