1. The general development of the Faculty of Medical Laboratory Science following the educational culture - modern university administration
Orientation
- Maintain a professional, current management structure and progressive operational procedures.
- The Faculty of Medical Laboratory Sciences' management organization (quantity and quality) satisfies the stipulated norms. This includes achieving the stringent standards of the Faculty's management structure and establishing a strong force.
Objectives
- Maintain the Faculty of Medical Laboratory Sciences' well-known reputation for training and specialized scientific research; expand worldwide operations.
- Create a cultural identity for the Faculty of Social Sciences that meets the demands of all stakeholders.
2. Academic programs and education quality assurance
Orientation: professionalize training and assure educational quality; open postgraduate programs, such as post-graduate specialized diplomas and master's degrees.
Target:
1. Maintain the quality of training programs and provide the necessary circumstances to launch postgraduate programs.
2 - Execute the research on the development of short-term, specified certificated programs.
3 - Standardize all the activities to meet the criteria of EQA standards (Viet-Ministry of Education and the next would be AUN-QA), get the certificate of Education Quality Accreditation, and maintain the achievement
3. Scientific and technological activities
Orientation: Scientific research based on worldwide norms and levels. Providing scientific services to help transfer science and technology. The number and quality of scientific research and technological development items have been enhanced.
Target: - Improve the quality and efficacy of scientific gatherings.
- All lecturers participate in scientific activities.
- Create and grow a specialized research team.
Some other scientific research KPIs:
– Research projects:
> Fundamental fund (DN.UMTP) 04 projects/year.
> Provincial/city government or Ministry grade fund: 01 project / 2 years, with the participation and cooperation of clinical lecturers, PhD, MSc from medical facilities.
- Publication: International scientific articles (ISI system, Scopus, SCIE,...): at least 02 articles/year
- Periodically participate in prestigious domestic specialized seminars.
- Student’s scientific research activities: encourage students to participate in scientific research in all scientific research competitions, with the support of lecturers in the Faculty as well as participate in lecturers' scientific research projects.
4. Cooperation work
- Maintain current domestic and international cooperative connections.
- Strengthen school-hospital collaborations.
- Develop collaborative partnerships with external partners, such as medical and pharmaceutical schools, research institutions, and enterprises (technology, etc.).
5. Academic lecturers and staff development:
-Increase the proportion of PhDs and Associate Professors among the lecturers team.
+ By 2025, the objective is to have at least 04 PhDs and PhD candidates, and 01 Associate Professor engaged in the lecturing team.
- Standardize the support personnel (all are properly qualified and attend professional training courses; operational quality is rated Good).
