PROGRAMME - 2024 EDITION (applicable to enrollments from 2024 onwards)

1. PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVE (PEOb)

To educate students who become MedLab Technologists who exhibit ethics and thinking way of serving the community, be well-equipped with the fundamental science, political science, basic medicine, professional knowledge, and skills, at proper grade, own active competencies and abilities such as independent and creative working, non-stop self-study, and be able to conduct scientific research to develop specified ability also general competencies of themselves and workmate, to dedicate the Vietnamese healthcare system.

2. PROGRAM EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES – ELO

Upon completion of the education BSC. program of Med.Lab.Tech. of Danang University of Medical Technology and Pharmacy, graduates have the following competencies:

ELO1 :  Demonstrate professional ethics, personal responsibility, patient confidentiality and commitment to lifelong learning in medical laboratory practice.

ELO2: Apply knowledge of basic sciences, biomedical sciences and medical laboratory sciences to explain disease mechanisms and the significance of laboratory test results in diagnosis.

ELO3: Communicate effectively and collaborate professionally with patients, families and healthcare professionals in healthcare settings.

ELO4: Use information technology, foreign languages and research methods to access, update and apply professional knowledge to medical laboratory practice.

ELO5: Apply basic medical science knowledge in basic medical situations, community health activities, adapting to new working environments, and supporting junior learners in professional practice.

ELO6: Perform medical laboratory procedures and manage laboratory test results according to professional standards.

ELO7: Perform biosafety, infection control and quality management practices in medical laboratory operations.

ELO8: Perform basic management tasks for medical laboratory lab's resources
